Answers

1. What is a TeleClass?
A TeleClass is a conference call, like a chat line. You and between 10-500 other registrants call a regular phone number in the United States (commonly in Orlando or  Las Vegas) at your class time and you are welcomed by the TeleClass Leader. The TeleClass begins promptly at 2 minutes after the listed start time. A TeleClass is similar to a grad school discussion -- some lecture, some questions, some discussion. If this if your first time taking a TeleClass, you may wonder if and how it works. It just does. It's highly interactive and the 'flow' works well. You can listen and absorb and/or engage in the discussion. You can always ask questions of the TeleClass Leader. Most TeleClass sessions last an hour. Some meet one time only, others meet weekly for 4-8 weeks, sometimes longer.

You do not need a computer in order to be in the class. All you need is a regular phone!
Note: The cost to call one of our bridges is a standard long distance charge. There are no conferencing fees, so you would just pay your long distance carrier whatever your rates are. Most carriers charge $3-6 an hour for long distance, so the cost is minimal.

2. How do I register for a TeleClass?.
Just follow the instructions that accompany each class listing. If it's a free class you'll be registering online. If it's a tuition-based class, you'll be contacting the instructor directly via email or phone.  And/or you can search for all TeleClasses here or view the upcoming week's TeleClasses at http://www.teleclass.com

3. I want to register at the last minute. How do I do that?
If it's a free class, no problem! Register online. However, registration for most classes closes the day before the class begins.
If it's a fee-based class where you have to contact the instructor to register, we can't promise that you can register at the last minute.

4. My class starts tonight and I lost the bridge number.
This happens; not to worry. Go to http://www.teleclass.com/login.lasso. Enter your email address and password, then you will be taken to your student page. It lists all of your current classes and bridge numbers.
If it's a class where you've registered directly with the instructor, you'll need to contact the instructor directly.

5. How do I withdraw from a TeleClass?
If it is a free class, go to http://www.teleclass.com/login.lasso.  Enter your email address and password, to access your student page. Click unregister next to the class you want to drop.
If it's a fee class that you've registered with an instructor directly, please contact them.

6. How do I access student-only area for a class I am registered for?
Go to http://www.teleclass.com/login.lasso.  Enter your email address and password, to access your student page. Find your class and tap on the student-only link. In some cases, you'll be asked for a username and password, which would have been emailed to you when you registered for the class.
